HOW TO ARRIVE

MAIN STAGE

Esperanza Spalding

Esperanza Spalding is one of the most original and unclassifiable voices in contemporary music. A bassist, composer, and singer, she has built a career defined by creative freedom and a refusal of boundaries between genres — from jazz to R&B, from classical music to the experimental avant-garde. With multiple Grammys and a constant ability to reinvent herself, she stands out as one of the most influential artists of her generation, creating unique musical experiences where voice, bass, and composition come together in an ongoing dialogue.

MAIN STAGE

Júlio Resende

Júlio Resende is one of the Portuguese pianists and composers with the greatest international recognition, known for the way he blends jazz with Portuguese musical identity. Born in Porto, he developed a distinctive language that combines tradition and innovation, taking his work to stages across Europe, America, and Asia. Creator of projects such as Fado Camões and the Fado Jazz Ensemble, his music offers a journey between melancholy and freedom, where the piano dialogues with cultural roots in a contemporary and singular approach.

Nortada Stage

Joana Machado

With more than 20 years of career and five released albums, Joana Machado is one of the most sophisticated and distinctive voices in contemporary Portuguese music. Starting from jazz, the singer and songwriter has been expanding her universe through soul, R&B, and electronic music, creating an elegant, emotional, and deeply personal language. Her new work, Handful, reveals a more intimate and confessional approach, where harmonic sophistication, groove, and vocal delicacy meet in a balance between contemporary jazz and African American music.
